Man killed in single vehicle rollover on Highway 417

Tweet ThisEMC News - An early morning single vehicle crash claimed the life of an Arnprior man last Tuesday.
The Ottawa Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Division responded to the collision around 5:50 a.m. on Highway 417 westbound, near the Galetta Side Road overpass. On the scene, they found a pickup truck that had overturned into the ditch.
According to investigators, the driver lost control of the vehicle and speed is being considered a factor in the tragedy.
The driver, 41-year-old Ronald Levesque, was partially ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the incident resulted in traffic being rerouted as Highway 417 westbound was closed from Kinburn Side Road to Arnprior.
The highway reopened approximately eight hours later.
The OPP is requesting that anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact police at 1-888-310-1122.
